Mike Nicholls - President
I am a born and bred Tauntonian who enjoys exploring the local countryside both on foot as a keen off-road runner and also as a leisure cyclist. Luckily my job in Local Government allows me to continue my interest in all things local in this lovely area. |

Graham Strang- Chairman
I'm 49 years young, married to Angela and have two wonderful daughters, Charlotte and Abigail all of who can be seen shouting encouragement to fellow RFRC memebrs at various events in the region. I have been running for just about three years after a lifetime of little regular exercise, apart from the odd stint at the gym. Having been "encouraged" to enter the 2008 Bath Half Marathon, I quickly realised that without some serious training I was not going to succed so after running for a while on my own I joined RFRC at the beginning of 2008 and have to say that without the support of the members would not have achieved everything I have in the past three years, a number of 10K's, 7 half marathons and 3 marathons including London this year. My times are not going to break any records, but I am pleased with what I have achieved in such a short time. I like to use my experience to encourage other members of the club to reach their goals, after all if I can do it anyone can!

Richard Palmer - Vice Chairman and Humdinger Race Director I've been running with the club since it was formed in 2004. I am both the vice chairman, the men's team captain and I also organise the club race, The Hestercombe Humdinger.

Val Perigo - Newsletter Editor I started running in 2003 and have been involved with RFRC since the beginning.
I love running and I also enjoy cycling and swimming. I did my first (and so far only) marathon in 2005 and my first (and so far only) triathlon in 2010. My preferred races are 10 miles off-road.
Away from exercise I enjoy camping and reading, am obsessed by soap making, and my life-long ambition is to write a book! |

Martin Axon - Treasurer I was dragged along to Running Forever as a 40something semi-retired club cricketer by my triathlete wife. Okay, I thought, getting a bit fitter and shedding a few pounds wouldn’t do any harm. But that’s all that it will be, you’ll never get me doing any races. So how come I’ve ended up running a half marathon, slogged through something called The Black Death Run (it’s as bad as it sounds!), and have a burning ambition to run a sub-hour 10k?! I guess that’s what happens if you get the bug. I started with a beginners group, and have only risen to the dizzy heights of Group 6, but going out with a friendly group of people on a Wednesday has certainly started something. And I quite like a post-run beer too... |

Phil Wilson - Webmaster I joined the original Taunton Half Marathon training group started by Simon at the Running Forever shop. And despite some injury problems nevertheless I caught the running bug and I'm still here! I've run every distance up to marathon. My favourite race was the Connemara Half Marathon in Ireland. The views are just stunning and mostly make up for having to run up the hills to see them!
When I'm not running I look after my collection of tarantulas and occasionally carnivorous plants.

Malcolm Boon - Club Kit I started running after popping into the Running Forever shop back in 2006 to buy some shoes for going to the gym. Before I knew it I was saying yes to joining the Taunton 10K training group and haven't looked back since, completing various distance races including a few marathons the most notable being London & Amsterdam. I have been a member of the committee since the club became an affiliated club. |

Sandra Williams - Membership and Secretary
After several years of running on and off, I decided to join a running club. I have been a member of RFRC for 2 years now and have the pleasure of looking after the beginners group which I find immensely rewarding. I have recently completed a coaching qualification in Running Fitness. Although I have run most road distances up to marathon, I like nothing better than a good muddy, hilly off-road slog.
When not in my running shoes, I am juggling a family, two businesses and completing a degree in Sports Science.

Tamara Mears - Club Kit Me run? Never I used to think to myself! Now, I have completed two 10K's and two half marathons and of course I was trying to better my times each time, with success thankfully. |
